Donna over at Donna Knits and Spins tagged me for meme that’s frightfully similar to one I did not so long ago, but since I love memes (and making lists in general) I thought I’d give it another go!
1) Link to your tagger and list all these rules in your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post by including links to their blogs
4) Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog
1- I still haven’t finished Folklore and I’m fairly certain it’s going to go to the “unfinished video game” pile (hey if knitters and sewers can have unfinished piles, why can’t gamers?) along with FF v and FF vi (which is actually FF3). I refuse to put Heavenly Sword (if only because I like playing Kai) or Jeanne d’arc in that category… yet.
2- I love apple fhoomping.
3- I am inordinately jealous that Jim got his braces off before Christmas and that I have to wait until the middle of January to just see if mine can come off (grrr… it was a small consolation listening to Jim learning to speak with his retainer, until I remembered that I would go through the same thing later).
4- I still don’t know how to darn socks (sorry Mrs. England… I’ll never make a proper English wife).
5- I have used every ounce of my charisma on the barista at Leopard Forest and she still won’t even smile at me, which is slightly annoying as I’m usually able to charm most everybody at least when I put that much effort into it.
6- I spoke with my best friend from Junior High School just a couple days ago. It was shocking as I had driven by her old house the day prior and had been thinking about her. We grew apart during our high school years (she went to Gov’s school) and then the college years had us moving in very different circles. The last time I really spoke to her was when I was pregnant with Sophie… so it’s been a long time! Our lives are as different at two people can be, but that old spark of friendship is still there.
7- Hmmm…. a seventh weird/random thing….. I have an affinity for Maneki Neko, which might explain my Hello Kitty fascination as well. I have a huge Maneki Neko bank in our kitchen that the children love “feeding” whenever they find change around the house. I have a maneki neko noren across the doorway to the kitchen closet (ours is the short one, not the long one). I got it from this brilliant little Asian Imports store that used to be in the old mall off of Woodruff. That’s the same store that unbelievably had a jade bracelet large enough to actually fit me, mind you I can NOT remove it from my wrist, but it’s beautiful so I don’t mind 🙂
So that’s it, 7 more things about me 🙂 I’ll forgo tagging anyone else as I think everybody that reads me has done this one now too… if you haven’t consider yourself tagged 🙂 and let me know!
