Definitely a good day 🙂 Had my first ride on Fame and was very pleased! He’s very quiet and other than a bit of head tossing that I think may be tooth related he was almost lazy. Not as reactive (sensitive) as Paris or Bridget but very willing once he understood what I was asking him. He almost rides like a drafty. Our only bad moment came at mounting when he became a little alarmed that I was standing so high above him, but he settled right down and actually stood quietly without being held when I mounted. He’s just such a sweet mannered boy! He’s got great ground manners (ground ties too!) and is a very pleasant horse to groom and fuss over as he just stands there and enjoys the attention. At one point I was sitting on the smaller mounting block waiting on Julie to finish getting Crane ready. I had a hold of Fame’s reins and he stood quietly beside me, occasionally nosing around my helmet acting like an old schoolmaster instead of a recently retired race horse.
He’s awesome.
I love him.
And yes Baxter is jealous.
